Training & Ongoing Support
You don’t need HVAC experience to own a Brandt HVAC franchise. What you need is the willingness to follow a proven system, hire good people, and treat customers the way you’d want someone to treat your own family at the door. We teach the rest. Our onboarding takes you from zero trade knowledge to a working understanding of how residential heating and cooling jobs are priced, sold, scheduled, and delivered. The training is built around one idea: every customer gets a written price before any work starts, and every technician who shows up is someone the customer was told to expect by name and photo. If you can hold that standard, we can teach you the business.
Initial Training
Your first weeks as a Brandt HVAC owner are structured, hands-on, and paced so nothing gets skipped. You’ll spend time in a dedicated training environment learning how a residential HVAC call actually unfolds, from the first phone ring to the written guarantee handed over at the end of the job. You’ll learn the vocabulary of the trade, condensers and evaporator coils and heat exchangers, so you can talk intelligently with your service manager and understand what your techs are reporting. You’ll learn our pricing playbook: how we scope a repair or replacement, what the typical range is for a capacitor swap versus a full system install, and why every price is put in writing before any work begins. You’ll learn our dispatch and scheduling software, the same system we use to send a customer the name and photo of their technician before the visit. You’ll learn how to recruit and hire technicians against the Threshold Standard: background-checked, identity-verified, photo-badged, uniformed. And you’ll learn marketing fundamentals, how to get found when a homeowner in your area searches for AC repair, furnace service, or seasonal maintenance. By the time you leave initial training, you’ll have a written launch plan for your market, a hiring checklist, and a clear picture of how the first 90 days should work.
Launch Support
Opening your doors isn’t a sink-or-swim moment. We send you into your market with a local marketing setup already in motion. That means your business is listed correctly across search platforms, your service area is mapped, and your phone number routes to a live person 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We help you establish your presence as an independent local business that operates to the Brandt standard, not as a branch of some distant corporate office. Your first service calls receive extra attention: we review the job notes with you, walk through what went well and what could go better, and help you coach your first technician hires. The lead engine is built around reputation and visibility, so your earliest customers become the foundation of your local reviews and repeat business. You’ll have direct access to a launch coach who has seen dozens of owners through their first season, including the awkward calls and the surprise repairs. The goal is simple: get your first jobs scheduled, priced, and completed with written guarantees so every customer starts telling their neighbors about you.
Ongoing Support
- Field coaching and ride-alongs. Experienced HVAC operators review your jobs, your pricing, and your technician performance with you. Not quarterly slide decks. Real coaching tied to actual service calls in your market.
- Marketing that evolves with your area. Seasonal campaigns, search visibility, review management, and local community positioning. You’re never left guessing what to say when spring AC demand hits or when the first cold snap drives furnace calls.
- Vendor relationships and equipment buying. We work with all major residential brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard. You get access to established supply relationships so you’re not negotiating from scratch as a new owner.
- Technology and dispatch tools. The systems that send technician names and photos to customers, track job status, and keep your office organized are set up and supported. You don’t build software; you run your business on ours.
- National brand campaigns. Brandt HVAC and the Threshold Group family run brand-level marketing that supports your local reputation. When people recognize the name and the standard behind it, your local ads work harder.
- Hiring and retention guidance. Finding technicians who will pass a background check and wear the uniform with pride is hard everywhere. We help you recruit, interview, and keep the people who fit the Threshold Standard.
