Most days, the job is straightforward: you show up, you diagnose the problem, you fix it, and you leave someone’s home cooler or warmer than it was when you arrived. That matters. A family sitting in a house that won’t cool down in August isn’t an abstract problem – it’s a real one, and you’re the person who solves it. At Brandt HVAC, we hire people who take that seriously. Not people who are perfect on paper, but people who do the work right, communicate clearly with homeowners, and can look at a condenser or a heat exchanger and tell you what it’s actually doing. We work on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, American Standard – the full range of what’s actually in people’s homes. Every job here starts with a written price, covered by a guarantee, with a technician who showed up in a clean uniform and proved who they were at the door. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to, and it’s the standard you’d be working to.
Who We’re Looking For
- HVAC Service Technician – Someone who can diagnose a system from its symptoms, explain the problem to a homeowner in plain language, and do the repair correctly the first time.
- HVAC Apprentice – Someone starting out who learns by doing, asks good questions, and wants a trade they can build a real career on.
- Installation Technician / Installer – Someone who takes pride in a clean, code-correct install and doesn’t cut corners because nobody’s watching.
- Lead Technician – An experienced tech ready to carry a service call from start to finish with minimal oversight, and mentor the people working beside them.
- Dispatcher – Someone who stays calm when call volume spikes, keeps technicians and customers both in the loop, and understands that timing is the job.
- Customer Service Representative – Someone who genuinely likes talking to people, can stay patient under pressure, and knows that the homeowner on the other end of the line is often already stressed before they dial.
What We Offer
A Real Path, Not a Title
Brandt HVAC has been placing technicians on a clear arc from apprentice to lead since 2003. You won’t be handed a uniform and left to figure out the rest. We train on the actual systems we service, in conditions that reflect real jobs, and we track where you are in your development so the next step isn’t a mystery. If you’re starting at the bottom, that’s fine – most of the best techs in this trade did.
Work You Can Stand Behind
Every job we send you on starts with a written price the homeowner has already agreed to. You never have to be the person defending a surprise charge at the end of a call. The repair you do is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise, which means if something fails within the guarantee period, we go back – no argument, no additional charge. That kind of backing changes how you feel about the work you do.
Local Crew, National Support
Each Brandt HVAC location is independently owned and operated, which means you’re working with a local team that knows its market and its customers. At the same time, you’re part of the Threshold Group family – a structure that holds every location to the Threshold Verified standard and gives local crews access to resources that a standalone shop doesn’t always have. It’s a real combination, not a marketing phrase.
Steady, Year-Round Demand
HVAC isn’t a seasonal side job. Heating calls come in all winter, cooling calls come in all summer, and maintenance work fills in the gaps. Brandt operates across 14 states, and in every one of those markets, people need their systems to work – not occasionally, but constantly. That demand is what makes this trade worth building a career in, and it’s what keeps the schedule full.
No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve spent time doing mechanical work – automotive, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, construction – more of that transfers than you’d expect. Reading a wiring diagram, tracing a refrigerant circuit, diagnosing why something that should run isn’t running: these are problem-solving skills, and problem-solving is the job.
What we teach is the specifics: the systems, the refrigerants, the sequence of operations, the safety protocols, how to talk to a homeowner who’s been without heat for two days and is not in a patient mood. The first months are structured. You work alongside an experienced tech. You don’t get handed a van and a clipboard on day one.
If you’re good with your hands, you’re honest about what you don’t know yet, and you’re the kind of person who needs to understand why something works – not just which button to press – call us. That’s the person this trade rewards.
